Clay Rocks Looking For Homes

I finally left my Clay Rocks. See the previous entry for pics of them. (Yea, I know, it took a while. All I have to say is...life got in the way.) I have a feeling they will go unnoticed for a while. If you happen to live anywhere around Webster Groves, Missouri, you might want to look for them. I left them on ledges in front of store windows on Big Bend. One is in front of the Webster Wok. The other is a little bit farther west (if I have my directions right) on the same side of the street. I think it is an Edwards Jones office. These shops were the only two I found with ledges below their windows. I had dinner at the Webster Wok last night (BTW, very good Chinese food!) and watched as four people passed not seeing my clay rock.

I had intended on laminating a Found Art tag to attach to these rocks, but the more I thought about it, the more it felt like it would get in the way. Being as small as they are, and the tags fairly large, a good wind might catch the tag and blow over the clay rock making it shatter. Besides, I wanted people to find them serendipitiously. So, the people who find these art pieces will not know they come from FoundArt. The next time I make clay pieces I intend to give away, I'll carve "Foundart.org" into the clay before it is fired.

I have a few more clay pieces to leave that don't have "Foundart.org" on them. I'll post pics of them here as soon as I have an idea of where I will leave them.
