I have an envelop of art in my purse and was reminded to leave art every time I was in my purse. And, boy, did I leave a trail! It reminded me of the clay balls I had made but still hadn't put out for someone to find. When I've made these balls, I've experimented with putting things into them. I left the piece below that looks like a large acorn or mushroom. I left it in a waiting room in a building on Schuetz Rd. where I had dropped off and waited for a friend of mine. I put a card about Found Art underneath the piece. Well, one is more rock shape than ball shape, on purpose. I put rocks in the balls to make it rattle, but my rocks fell out. (Is this akin to losing your marbles??) I left 4 pieces of art there -- 2 on the counter someone who is very bored and very perceptive may find, and 2 on a table with pamplets. I hope no one throws them away! They are pretty small and may go unnoticed. My business trip was canceled only a few hours before I left for the airport. So, instead of leaving my art in airports and around Sacramento, I'll be leaving these people around the St. Louis area this weekend.
